Reza Rasoulian is the Vice President of Global Connectivity at Carnival. His responsibility includes the leadership of global connectivity for the largest cruise company in the world. Carnival brands include AIDA, Carnival Cruise Line, Costa, Cunard, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises Australia, P&O Cruises UK, and Seabourn. Rasoulian’s responsibility includes leading the design, development, and deployment of end to end connectivity solutions, as well as innovation programs enhancing the guest, team-member, and operational connectivity experience across Carnival’s 102+ ships and 11 Million guests per year. Rasoulian brings with him over 22 years of experience in connectivity design, development, deployment, and operation with focus on Satellite connectivity systems. He previously led the implementation and launch of highly reliable mobile and high throughput satellite systems at Hughes Network Systems. Rasoulian holds a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, and a BSIS from the University of Maryland, and is PMP certified.
Jeb Linton is the CTO for Partner Ecosystem and Cognitive Security within IBM Cloud, Program Director for the Washington DC Area Center for Advanced Studies, and founder of the IBM Cognitive Security initiative. Mr. Linton is an IBM Senior Technical Staff Member and Master Inventor, and has worked for IBM since 2008 as technical strategist and architect on numerous Cloud Computing, Storage, Security and Cognitive Computing projects. He has also formerly acted as CTO of Security for Systems and Technology Group, co-lead of the IBM Watson Architecture Board, and as leader of the IBM Trusted Cloud initiative. Prior to his work at IBM, Mr. Linton worked in the Intelligence, Defense, and Internet Service Provider Industries. His major areas of work included high security, high availability systems and network architecture, Internet peering strategy, smart utility architecture, and wireless networking. He holds a BSEE from Virginia Tech.
Kay Koplovitz is Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Springboard Growth Capital. She is a seasoned investor and mentor to companies through all stages of growth. She is co-founder of Springboard Enterprises, a non-profit accelerator that has fostered the investment of more than $8.3 billion in women-led firms, and has served as its Chairman since inception.Ms. Koplovitz is the founder and former Chairman & CEO of USA Networks, which includes USA Network, the Sci-Fi Channel, and USA Networks International – today multi-billion dollar television cable television networks. Ms. Koplovitz ran the company for 21 years before stepping down in 1998, at which time it was sold for $4.5 billion. Some of Ms. Koplovitz’s notable accomplishments include her nomination as Chairman of the National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) in 1998 by President Clinton as well as the publication of her book Bold Women, Big Ideas: Learning to Play the High Risk Entrepreneurial Game, written by Ms. Koplovitz to inform and inspire women entrepreneurs. She recently published Been There, Run That, an anthology of best practices from Springboard Enterprises’ expert network of thought leaders. Ms. Koplovitz is frequently interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur, CNBC, Fox News, and Bloomberg TV. Ms. Koplovitz serves on the corporate boards of CA Technologies and ION Media Networks. She also serves as trustee for The Paley Center for Media, the International Tennis Hall of Fame and the College of Letters and Science at the University of Wisconsin. Previous board positions include Kate Spade, Oracle, Instinet, Nabisco, General Re, Sun New Media, and Time Inc. Ms. Koplovitz holds a master degree in Communications from Michigan State University where she was a National Merit Scholar. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin and holds honorary doctorate degrees from Michigan State University, St. Johns University, Emerson College, and Canisius College.
As a Member of the Southwest Airlines WiFi/IFE Team, Tara is responsible for ensuring the best possible experience for Customers while engaging with WiFi/IFE onboard Southwest aircraft. Tara builds relationships across multiple departments within Southwest to provide strategic direction. Tara takes great pride in finding new opportunities to educate others on the ever-growing presence of WiFi/IFE at Southwest. Tara began her career at Southwest Airlines as an Intern on the Customer Experience Team. Recognizing that focusing on the Customer was an area of passion for her, she continued to grow within the role and her time on the Team consistently impacts her work today. Being able to work on WiFi/IFE gives Tara the opportunity to bring this passion for the Customer and a desire for operational efficiency together into one outcome. Tara grew up in the great state of Texas, graduating with a BS in Marketing and a BS in Management from Oklahoma State University. She rounded out her education with an MS in Logistics and MBA concentrated in Operations Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.
