SATELLITE 2019 is here!

The program kicks off this morning at 9:30am ET with the opening general session What’s the (Next) Big Idea? in Ballroom C in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  This session is open to everyone, so if you’ve already registered, head on down to the center to pick up your badge and start your SATELLITE Week experience!  Not registered?  No problem, you can register online and pick up your badge onsite, or registration onsite at SATELLITE.

The entire week is packed with sessions, receptions, speakers and networking including a keynote by Klaus Bruun Egeberg with Maersk followed by a special address by the U.S. Vice President Mike Pence at the Monday Luncheon, sponsored by United Launch Alliance; the Lunar Ball Reception at 5:30pm on Monday, May 6 (open to all attendees!); the general session Wednesday morning tackling diversity and inclusion in the aerospace industry (the most talked-about session in the community!), the Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, sponsored by Peraton, announcing winners of the 2018 Satellite Executive of the Year and Satellite Technology of the Year Awards, along with honoring the winners of the Startup Space Competition and more than 350 exhibiting companies on the show floor (including 65 first time exhibitors!)

We are going out with a bang just as grand as our opening. Thursday starts with the Executive Roundtable: GEO Services Five-Year Forecast, where C-level executives share their short- and long-term market forecasts for business in GEO, and cover expected/unexpected technical milestones, exciting new applications, and potential unforeseen challenges and opportunities.

The day continues with sessions diving into topics of the IoT of Oceans, Space Situational Awareness & Traffic Management, How Data Analytics are Deeply Affecting Telecommunications, Space-Based Cloud: A New Dimension for Cybersecurity, and more.  The day concludes with an Executive Roundtable on LEO/MEO Systems Five-Year Forecast, bringing the community full circle.  Executives will discuss the importance of scale when it comes to constellations, and share short- and long-term market forecasts.

I hope you plan to join us for the entire SATELLITE Week and know you will not be disappointed come the end of Thursday!

P.S. If you haven’t registered yet, register online and skip the line on-site!
